Il Luogo

Museo Nivola, inaugurated in 1995, represents the greatest collection of works made by the artist Costantino Nivola, who invented the sand-casting technique, thanks to which he had the chance to establish collaborations with international artists and architects.
Museo Nivola is housed in the renovated building of the Lavatoio di Orani , specifically intended for this purpose. Among the additions made to this building there were a new pavilion in 2004, and a basement area in 2012. Apart from displaying the works made by Nivola, the museum also organizes exhibitions mainly focused on the relationship between art, architecture and landscape. Outside, the pathways of the park are surrounded by several sculptures and there is also a monumental fountain created by Nivola.
