Il Luogo

Museo Crocetti is located in a building in northern Rome, which houses not only the museum proper, but also Venanzo Crocetti’s flat, which has now become a museum house and is open to the public together with some multi-purpose rooms and a library. The Abruzzese sculptor Venanzo Crocetti, who died in 2003, can be considered a master of 20th century sculpture; although little known, he played a leading role internationally and the Hermitage has dedicated a permanent exhibition room to him. The Crocetti Museum, which houses more than one hundred large works including sculptures in bronze, marble and plaster, paintings, works on paper and documents dating from 1930 to 1998, also hosts contemporary art exhibitions.
