Il Luogo

Museo Archivio Laboratorio per le arti contemporanee Hermann Nitsch is a centre for documentation and research dedicated to the philosophy, the poetry and the visual art of the Austrian artist Hermann Nitsch.
Housed in a former electric power plant of the 19th century, the Museo Nitsch was based on a project realised by the Fondazione Morra with the purpose of preserving and promoting the different aspects of contemporary visual art, ranging from experimental cinema to contemporary music and performances.
The Museo Nitsch hosts a collection of works made by Nitsch in collaboration with Giuseppe Morra. The museum also treasures a collection of videos documenting the Azioni of the Viennese artist from the 1970s onwards.
