MuFoCo – Museo Fotografia Contemporanea is active since 2004, housed in the 17th-century Villa Ghirlanda, in the old town of Cinisello Balsamo, just outside Milan. It also organizes exhibitions in the exhibition area of the Triennale di Milano.
MuFoCo is one of its kind in Italy and covers the fields of preservation, cataloguing and research. with a particular focus on technological change and the relationship with other expressive languages.
This Museum collects many photographic funds relating to landscapes, portraits, social photography and artistic research from the second Post-War period to today.
