MEF – Museo Ettore Fico is housed in the former industrial complex of SICME, in an area connecting the centre of Turin to the district of Barriera di Milano.
The MEF is developing a collection whose aim is to recognize the testimonies of the contemporary artistic research, paying particular attention to the works created by young authors. The collection continues to grow due to the Premio Ettore e Ines Fico as well, which has been awarded to emerging artists every year since 2009, based on the innovativeness of their works.
The cultural activity of the MEF is carried out through an annual programme rotating around monographic or collective exhibitions on modern and contemporary artists, site specific interventions directly connected to the halls of the Museum, and meetings with experts.
