Mattatoio

Mattatoio is a place that Roma Capitale decided to use for contemporary art and it is located in the Testaccio district, inside the pavilions of the 19th-century architectural complex of the same name: an important example of industrial archaeology.
Mattatoio dedicates the spaces inside Pavilions 9A and 9B, as well as the Pelanda, to exhibitions, creative activities (especially targeting young people), events organized in collaboration with artists and scholars, contemporary culture festivals and promotion of contemporary art.
