MAPP – Museo d’Arte Paolo Pini

MAPP – Museo d’arte Paolo Pini is a contemporary art museum located in the former Paolo Pini psychiatric hospital in Milan, a place of incommunicability and separation which has later become a meeting place, where to exchange ideas.
At the end of 1993, indeed, on the basis of a project born by the collaboration, among others, with the Department of Mental Health at Niguarda Hospital and the Brera Academy, the MAPP asked about forty artists to create a mural work with the involvement of the patients in the Hospital, still running at that time.
MAPP – Museo d’arte Paolo Pini today counts one hundred and forty works, and new pieces of art are added every year.
