MAON- Museo d’Arte Otto e Novecento has been housed in the 19th-century Palazzo Vitari, in the old town of Rende, since 2004.
The MAON was founded by the Centro per l’arte e la cultura A. Capizzano, which, after several exhibitions hosted in the past, decided to create a collection of its own, particularly focused on Calabrian artists and on artists who have worked in the territory over the last two centuries.
This Museum owns an important documentary archive as well.
