MACHO – Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Horcynus Orca is part of the Parco Horcynus Orca in Messina, that overlooks the Strait of Messina. The Park, managed by the Fondazione Horcynus Orca, consists of creative and multimedia spaces, as well as interactive and multidisciplinary tours.
The MACHO is housed in a 19th-century fort, inside the Park, and displays a collection of paintings, installations and video artworks purposely made for the foundation and partly acquired by donations. These works are all made by artists from the Mediterranean area.
