MA*GA – Museo Arte Gallarate was established in 1966 with the name of Civica Galleria d’Arte Moderna. In 2009, it came under the management of the Fondazione Silvio Zanella and was moved to an industrial building of the 1930s, connected to another building that was purposely built.
The MA*GA owns over 5,000 works dating back from the second half of the twentieth century to today. The collection has expanded thanks to the Premio Nazionale Arti Visive Città di Gallarate which has set itself the objective of helping this visual art museum expand its collections since 1950.
MA*GA – Museo Arte Gallarate aims to enhance its collections through exhibitions and the strong commitment of its Education Department.
