La Portineria is headquartered in the Florentine residential district of Campo di Marte in a former porter’s lodge of a prestigious modern building, one of the most interesting in the city, an early 1970s architecture designed by architect Oreste Poli. La Portineria aims to be a centre of activity and cultural stimulation, through projects and exhibition methods that vary every year, involving artists, including international ones and from different generations, as Satoshi Hirose, David Casini and Thelonious Stokes . A research space, independent, which aims, among others, to create a dialogue with the neighbourhood and the city.
