L’uomo della luce

The work is a tribute to the city by the Province of Milan and La Triennale, in memory of the victims of terrorism and massacres. Inaugurated on July 27, 2008, in occasion of the anniversary of the attack in via Palestro, in 2009 the statue was installed in front of the headquarters
of the Provincia. A strong white human figure, casted from a real model, walks on an inclined iron bar, carrying on his shoulders a bundle of fluorescent light tubes, which illuminates the road at his back, but not its path. His painful expression and tight eyes indicate the anguish and physical suffering of the man, when unaware of what surrounds him.
