Galleria Comunale d’arte contemporanea di Monfalcone, housed in an former market hall, was inaugurated in 2002 and has been one of the most important spaces dedicated to contemporary art in Friuli Venezia Giulia ever since. The permanent collection, displayed only during exhibitions, is home to the Fondo T. Marangoni, the Fondo Stabile (comprising works of Italian artists, dating back to 1983 and created to support the construction site workers in Monfalcone), and about fifty works on paper made by young Italian and foreign artists.
This Exhibition venue regularly hosts collective exhibitions of contemporary art, dedicated to the works of young artists, especially to experimental works.
