Sormani Prota-Giurleo Foundation is based in an 18th century building in the small village of Sormano, less than thirty kilometers from Como. In addition to works by modern and contemporary Italian and foreign artists, the building, known as the “house of paintings”, also includes the works of the founders, as Antonio Sormani, an artist active since the 1960s. Created in 2019, through an activity of exhibitions, meetings with artists, readings and reviews, aims to implement the knowledge and understanding of contemporary art, in relation to different cultures and visual languages considering the reference territory and its resources.
