Fondazione Palazzo Albizzini Collezione Burri was founded in 1978, by the will of the artist Alberto Burri. The permanent collection has been opened to the public, in Palazzo Albizzini, since 1981, where there are about 130 works created by the artist between 1948 and 1989.
The Fondazione Palazzo Albizzini aims to manage, conserve and display the works of Burri as well as to promote research on his art. To this end, the Foundation organizes conventions and conferences every year, dedicated to contemporary art. It also takes part in national and international exhibitions with works on loan.
