The Fondazione Orestiadi is committed to give an interpretation of the cultural history of the Mediterranean, by analyzing all the influences that reached North Africa and Europe from the Middle East, crossing through Sicily, and that left visible traces in the field of visual arts and material culture. Inside the Granaio, there are works included in the Collezione Corrao, which, as in the case of Forma 1, represent the language of contemporary art today.
Il Museo delle Trame del Mediterraneo, founded in 1996 by the Foundation, displays objects from different periods and origins, and presents the evolution of the main decorative motifs of art and manufacture in the Mediterranean.
