The Venue
Fondazione Modena Arti Visive is a centre of cultural production and vocational education training aimed at disseminating contemporary art and visual culture. Managing many locations and taking the heritage of the three institutes which converged into it – Galleria Civica di Modena, Fondazione Fotografia di Modena, Museo della Figurina – Fondazione Modena Arti Visive presents itself as a cultural district that proposes and organizes exhibitions, advanced training courses, workshops, performances and conferences.
The Foundation, housed in the Palazzo Santa Margherita, in the old town of Modena, owns a section dedicated to contemporary art. This Venue also hosts a photography collection and the design and graphics collection of Contemporary art designs belonging to the Collezione Galleria Civica of the municipality of Modena.
Furthermore, the Foundation proposes temporary exhibitions dedicated to national and international artists as well as theme exhibitions from the same collections. Palazzo Santa Margherita is also home to the Museo della Figurina collection, put in place thanks to the donation by Giuseppe Panini.
