Fondazione Modena Arti Visive – MATA

Fondazione Modena Arti Visive is a centre of cultural production and vocational education training aimed at disseminating contemporary art and visual culture. Managing many locations and taking the heritage of the three institutes which converged into it – Galleria Civica di Modena, Fondazione Fotografia di Modena, Museo della Figurina – Fondazione Modena Arti Visive presents itself as a cultural district that proposes and organizes exhibitions, advanced training courses, workshops, performances and conferences.

MATA, Manifattura Tabacchi, housed in one of the most important industrial buildings for tobacco processing since the seventeenth century, is a cultural space born on the initiative of the municipality of Modena. Today, it is known to be one of the exhibition venues where Fondazione Modena Arti Visive operates.
