Fiumara d’Arte – Motta d’Affermo

Fiumara d’Arte sculpture park by Antonio Presti ideally traces the course of the river with the aim of enhancing the territory through the presence of contemporary art. Energia mediterranea by Antonio Di Palma is an environmental installation in blue concrete that reproduces a wave. The shape seems a minimal sign, but as one gets closer an underwater environment reproduced beneath its surface can be discovered. 38° Parallelo – Piramide is a monumental walkable work by Mauro Staccioli. Located on a hill, it is a symbolic presence, and is visible from miles away. The geographical coordinates of the work coincide with the thirty-eighth parallel, indicating the point of contact between mathematical abstraction and the reality of nature.
