Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Il Conventino is housed in the former Convento dei Servi di Maria, a building of great historical importance, dating back to 16th century. This Museum, in the restored rooms of the Conventino, and partly also in the outside area, hosts the civic collection of contemporary art, consisting mainly of large sculptures and installations documenting research on art, from the 1960s to today. The collection was created thanks to the donations made by artists who, over the years, have taken part to exhibitions, the first being the collective exhibition Borderline in 1988.
During Summer, apart from its permanent collection, Il Conventino also proposes temporary exhibitions and cultural activities of various kinds.
