BASE – Progetti per l’arte is one of the most famous Italian artist-run spaces: a space used by and conceived by a group of artists, which currently has eleven of the most important Italian artists among its ranks. The association was founded in 1998, as a place of exchange and confrontation as far as modern art is concerned, and over the years has hosted more than sixty exhibitions on some of the most established artists at the international level.
The BASE hosts exhibitions, as well as moments of confrontation and dialogue, actively involving artists, scholars and collectors, so as to investigate the world of contemporary art, always from a different point of view.
