BACO (BASE Arte Contemporanea Odierna)

Baco (Contemporary Art Today) is located, since 2011 in the upper city of Bergamo and since 2011 it occupies part of the first floor of a 15th century building, formerly the seat of the Misericordia and the Music conservatory, over time renovated and extended. It is a non – profit cultural association whose purpose is to create links between memorial and contemporary art, involving both italian and international artists through exhibitions, publications, conferences and projects. Baco is a research space that aims to eliminate ancient/contemporary dualism, in order to create a permeable relationship between different times and cultures, as in the structural project “Contemporary Ancient Art”.
