ARCOS – Museo di Arte Contemporanea del Sannio

The ARCOS – Museo di Arte Contemporanea del Sannio was inaugurated in 2005 in the dungeons of the nineteenth-century Palazzo del Governo, already used as an air-raid shelter during World War II, and then as a warehouse.
Through a rich programme of thematic exhibitions, ARCOS offers an overview of contemporary art in the last forty years and of the most recent productions as well, thanks to the involvement of famous international and young emerging artists, encouraged to interact with the history and culture of the city and province of Benevento.
