Clarisse Arte, located in the seventeenth-century building of the former convent of Santa Chiara now restored, is the institution within the Le Clarisse cultural center (Grosseto Cultura Foundation) that deals with contemporary art; was born in 2016, from the Visual Arts Documentation Center of the municipality of Grosseto. On the first floor there is an exhibition space for temporary exhibitions and a documentation centre. The collection, which also includes works subject to private donations, is representative of Italian artists of the twentieth century.
