The Venue
Viafarini was founded in 1991, in via Farini 35, with the aim of stimulating the professional growth of young artists and spreading the knowledge of contemporary art, through exhibitions, educational activities and documentation services.
In 2008, Viafarini moved from its historical base to the former industrial area of the Fabbrica del Vapore. This area is home to the DOCVA – Documentation Center for Visual Arts, where it is possible to access one of the first and richest archives about contemporary art research in Italy.
