The Venue
La Triennale di Milano was founded in 1923 in Monza, as a biennial event for decorative arts. Then, in 1933, it moved to Milan, where it took its current name, in the Palazzo dell’Arte Bernocchi purposely designed by the architect Giovanni Muzio.
La Triennale organizes exhibitions, conventions and events relating to different areas of contemporary culture, and promotes the interaction between industry and art, also accommodating exhibitions cured by the Museo della Fotografia Contemporanea of Cinisello Balsamo.
Since 2007, La Triennale has also been home to the first Italian design museum, created to enhance the collections owned by the Foundation, through events dedicated to a different theme every year.
