The Venue
Raccolta Lercaro is a collection created in 1971, after a donation made by some artists from Bologna to the cardinal of Bologna, Giacomo Lercaro. Over the years it has been enriched by a series of acquisitions. Since 2003, the Raccolta has been housed in a historical building in the heart of Bologna and is characterized by a set-up especially thought as an expression of an inventive dialogue between ancient and contemporary art.
This Collection exhibits works by artists who worked during the twentieth century, with a particular focus on the second post-war period. The exhibition path aims to create a relationship between different forms of contemporary art language.
