Sol LeWitt‘s relationship with the city of Spoleto is testified by a series of works realized between 1971 and 2000, when the American artist spent regularly part of the year in his house on the hills of Monteluco.
As part of Festival dei Due Mondi, LeWitt designed the decoration of the dancefloor in front of the Casina dell’Ippocastano. The design presented curvilinear and abstract shapes in different shades, which are still visible today despite the deterioration of the color.
