The Venue
Pirelli HangarBicocca is a non-profit foundation born in 2004, in Milan after an early twentieth-century industrial plant was reconverted into a space for contemporary art production and promotion.
The unique and imposing space of Pirelli HangarBicocca (15.000 sq.m.) is one of the widest horizontal installations in Europe and presents personal exhibitions of Italian and internationally acclaimed artists every year. Permanent installations are presented as well, first and foremost I Sette Palazzi Celesti 2004-2015 by Anselm Kiefer and La Sequenza by Fausto Melotti (1981).
