The Venue
Museo Riso – Museo Regionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Palermo has been housed in the 18th-century Palazzo Belmonte Riso, in the old town of Palermo, since 2005. Museo Riso houses a permanent collection of contemporary artworks from the 1950s onwards by Italian and international artists who work or worked in the past in Sicily, in charge also for specific projects. The collection is characterized by the strong link between the artists and the artworks and the isle of Sicily. Different exhibitions spaces, in addition to the spaces of Albergo delle Povere and Incoronata Cahpel, constantly host exhibitions and performances focusing on the interdisciplinary of topics and languages.
