The Venue
Museo Novecento was founded in 2014, in the building that once hosted the Spedale delle Leopoldine, with the purpose of accommodating the contemporary art collections owned by the City of Florence. The exhibition route, later enriched by works provided free on loan and donated by artists and institutions, illustrates 20th-century Italian art through paintings, sculptures, experimental architecture projects, visual poetry, installations and documents.
Furthermore, this Museum organizes exhibitions, cycles of encounters and events dedicated to develop a critical discussion on 20th century.
