The Venue
The “Duca degli Abruzzi” National Mountain Museum is located next to the church and convent of Monte dei Cappuccini. It was born from an idea of the first members of the Italian Alpine Club, in the second half of the nineteenth century, and is divided into three complementary structures. National and international in-depth activities are carried out for the public, exhibitions and exhibition projects, as well as educational courses for schools, which address themes such as the history of the mountain, its activities, the landscape with the aim of relating the mountain ranges of all continents. Since 2018 he has also been interested in sustainability and the environment in an increasingly multidisciplinary and intersectoral way.
