The Venue
Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Lissone, inaugurated in 2000, is housed in the renovated area close to the Lissone-Muggiò railway station, built during the first decades of the 20th century.
The collection of the Museum originated from the collection of works acquired through the well-established Premio Lissone (1946-1967), which represented an important worldwide reference for artistic experimentation during the 1950s and 1960s; this prize has been reintroduced since 2002.
The Premio Lissone Design, also organized by Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Lissone, exists since 2006. In line with the handicraft production of Brianza and the current trends in art, this prize alternates with the Premio Lissone and supports specific research on the design also understood as Visual and Graphic Design.
