The Venue
The Museo, housed in the Villa Borghese’s Orangery, was founded in 2006, thanks to the collector Carlo Bilotti, who decided to donate the works he had collected because of his friendship with many great artists of the 20th century, such as Andy Wharol, Larry Rivers and Mimmo Rotella. To the works made by these artists, another significant nucleus of paintings created by Giorgio de Chirico between the 1920s and the 1970s was added, which included some of his most famous subjects: some examples are Interni Metafisici, Mobili nella Stanza and Cavalieri.
This Museum displays a permanent exhibition of the works included in its collection, and leaves some of the spaces available to temporary exhibitions dedicated to some of the most important artists of our time.
