The Venue
Museo Archeologico Luigi Bernabò Brea in Lipari has been featuring a Contemporary Art section since 2015, the year in which the Mare Motus exhibition was presented and later became a permanent exhibition.
The Contemporary Art section is housed in the old prisons of the castle, where the visitors can admire works and site-specific installations by Italian and international artists, who took inspiration from the peculiar environment of the island and the great bond between the local history and the exhibition area itself.
Among its treasures, this Museum also includes artworks by Gonzalo Borondo, Fabrizio Plessi, and Piero Pizzi Cannella.
