The Venue
MAD Murate Art District was created as part of the project for the restoration of the monumental 15th-century complex of the Murate, once home to a convent, then a prison and now a contemporary art venue. In the areas once occupied by the detention cells, Le Murate now hosts the site specific installation of Nuclei (vitali), made by the artist Valeria Muledda. In this Exhibition venue, in addition to many contemporary artists’ exhibitions, are organized guided tours and activities to better learn the story of the place are held.
