The Venue
Hic terminus haeret – Il Giardino di Daniel Spoerri opened to the public in the early 1990s, when the Romanian artist (naturalized Swiss) Daniel Spoerri started to create a park-museum of sculptures in Southern Tuscany. The Latin motto Hic terminus haeret, Here is the end of all things, means to highlight the capacity of art to strictly connect to this Giardino the 55 contemporary artists, who donated one or more of their works.
Born as a Foundation in 1997, Giardino di Daniel Spoerri now hosts 112 works spread throughout 16 hectares of land and dedicates itself to education in the field of History of Art.
