The Venue
Galleria Nazionale di Cosenza – Palazzo Arnone is home to an important collection of paintings portraying the most crucial moments in the history of Italian art, from the 16th to the 20th century, with a particular focus on the artists who worked in or donated some of their works to the region.
Apart from its originating nucleus, the Galleria Nazionale di Cosenza also hosts the collection owned by the Banca Carime, which includes works from central-southern Italy, dating back to the period between the 17th and the 18th centuries, as well as an important nucleus of contemporary art works.
This Museum also organizes exhibitions dedicated to the artists included in the collection, and to contemporary artists in general.
