The Venue
Galleria d’Arte Contemporanea Osvaldo Licini was founded to accommodate a collection of graphic works by the painter Ernesto Ercolani.
This Museum was inaugurated in 1977, in the 16th-century Palazzo Malaspina. During the 1990s, the Galleria was moved to the former Convent of Sant’Agostino, where a substantial acquisition of paintings from internationally renowned contemporary artists, such as Lucio Fontana and Hans Hartung, as well as a fund of artworks by Osvaldo Licini, contributed to the expansion of the collection.
Apart from displaying the permanent collection, Galleria d’Arte Contemporanea Osvaldo Licini regularly organizes exhibitions as well.
