The Venue
Founded in 1993, Fondazione Prada is a foundation dedicated to contemporary art and culture. In 2015, a new location was opened in Milan, in an early twentieth-century old distillery, to which three new purpose-built buildings were added.
With this new architectural complex, designed by OMA (Office of Metropolitan Architecture), founded by the Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas, this Foundation reiterates its passion for an experimental contemporary art, promoting it through several activities.
Fondazione Prada has recently inaugurated another building to complete the headquarters: Torre, developed on nine levels, six of which are used as exhibitions spaces conceived to display the Prada Collection, as part of the project Atlas.
