The Venue
Fondazione Giuliani per l’Arte Contemporanea was founded in 2010 by the collectors Giovanni and Valeria Giuliani whose aim was to support and promote contemporary art. Particular attention has been given to young artists, who never displayed their works in Rome: every year the Foundation organizes three personal exhibitions, during which it commissions new works.
In some of these exhibitions, the Fondazione Giuliani tries to create a dialogue between the works created and the works included in its own collection. The collection, separate from the foundation, includes works available for the artists and fundamental to organizing their own exhibition. Therefore, this also becomes an occasion in which to investigate the collection itself.
