The Venue
Fondazione Antonio Ratti was established in 1985 and located in the Villa Sucota, an historical building on Lake Como, enclosed in the natural pathway of Chilometro della Conoscenza.
FAR supports and promotes researches on textiles and contemporary art, involving researchers, artists and young talents, activating connections between many different stakeholders, places and audience.
The Foundation Antonio Ratti hosts a series of ancient fabrics collected by Antonio Ratti, a library which includes over 7800 volumes on textiles, fashion, visual arts and crafts, and a rich collection of reviews.
Since 1995, every year FAR organises CSAV – Artists Research Laboratory which supports the experimentation of young artists from all over the world in dialogue with well-known artists.
