The Venue
FigureUmane is a three-year project , curated by Arnold Mario Dall’O and Herta Wolf Torggler (Kunst Merano Arte),that reinterpreted in a contemporary frame commemorative sculpture. Based on a city consultation, the city council identified a number of personalities who have contributed to the artistic, social and political life of the city of Merano, to whom to dedicate a bust commissioned to international artists. The sculptures were installed on the Lungo Passirio promenade, in the frame of the redeveloping of the city. The area has been re-appropriated by public use, the gallery of open-air sculptures, foster the identification of the citizens in the community.
