The Venue
The sculpture, titled ‚EUR~feral balance’ after a poem by Roberto Sanesi written 1957, was placed outside the Palazzo dell’Arte on the occasion of the XV Triennale di Milano, as part of the section Italian sculpture. The structure is composed of two elements: a large ring and a disc placed at its center, which respectively represent the Universe and the Earth. The two structures stand in reciprocal balance and are blocked by three wedges, thus appearing to translate into form the words of the poet. The sculpture is in stainless steel, a material that the artist often used because its absorbs light and has dynamic qualities.
