The Venue
CRAC Puglia – Centro Ricerca Arte Contemporanea is housed in the Convento dei Padri Olivetani and was founded as a Museum of Design, from the Fondazione Rocco Spani ONLUS, with the contribution of Apulia Region.
In 1992, the Crac founded the Collezione PIANO EFFE – Archivio Storico Nazionale del Progetto d’Artista e dello Studio Preparatorio, promoted by Bruno Munari, and has maintained it ever since. The Archive represents the permanent collection of the Centre and stands as the basis of the collection and preservation of drawings, photographic evidence, artists’ trials, preparatory studies and sketches by national and international artists.
The CRAC regularly organizes exhibitions dedicated to drawing, photography, painting, engraving and installations, inside and outside its Venue, in collaboration with other institutions.
