The Venue
The bronze Bufale mediterranee are placed in the lawn in front of the basilica of S. Apollinare in Classe, as if they were approaching it. Each element of this group of sculptures is represented in a precise relationship with the others and the surrounding landscape. Rivalta’s research is characterized by the use of a figurative language and by the investigation of the animal world, as a pretext to analyze the relationship between object, space and spectator.
