The Venue

The work was conceived in the frame of Un Po d’Arte, a project of installations curated by Art At Work and commissioned to international artists along the banks of the Po river in city of Turin.
Flavio Favelli composed a structure of found iron railings, that he reassembled and painted black composing a shape that resembles a house. The use of materials related to memory, the relationship with architecture, the idea of the house as site of encounter of individual and collective imagery are some of the cornerstones of the artist’s work. Here the domestic villa seems to be drawn into the landscape, becoming almost an apparition.
