The Venue
Archivio Storico Olivetti was set up in 1986 on the initiative of Paolo Mancinelli, at that time General Secretary of Olivetti, together with the Fondazione Adriano Olivetti.
In 1998, the Archive gained its independence with the establishment of Associazione per l’Archivio Storico Olivetti. This association is responsible for the recovery, the cataloguing, the conservation and the fruition of the archival heritage of Olivetti, acting as assistant and advisor for students and researchers as well.
Located in Ivrea, the archive and the permanent exhibition highlight the complex history and deep transformation of the industrial and social environments of Olivetti.
Archivio Olivetti deals with cultural initiatives as well, organizes exhibitions, video projections, conferences, studies, research and publications aimed at promoting and deepening the knowledge about the history and the values of Olivetti.
