The Venue
Arte all’Arte is a project initiated by Associazione Arte Continua with the aim of promoting the agro-environmental artistic district of the province of Siena and Florence. The works were donated to the cities by the artists and the association, which mediated the project starting from the relationship with the city and its community. Anthony Gormley realized seven sculptures taken from the casts of six inhabitants of Poggibonsi and a foreigner, and disseminated them in different parts of the town. Sarkis designed a fountain for painting: a place to gather as a creative community. Fonte delle Fate is the place chosen by Mimmo Paladino to set large terracotta sculptures representing crocodiles and human forms in a fetal position. Finally, in the fortress of the Cassero, Blue Girl , of Kiki Smith a sculpture depicting a sitting enigmatic girl, ideally links the three cities involved in the project.
