The Venue
Acquedotto Augusteo , thanks to the work of the ‘Verginisanità Association, active since 2014, has obtained the fostering of part of the Peschici-Maresca Palace, recovered in the Borgo Vergini-Sanità area, with the purpose of promoting projects aimed at the enhancement of the archaeological site Acquedotto Augusteo del Serino. These activities aim to redevelop marginal and degraded urban settings in cooperation with public entities, associations and residents. The goal is to promote contemporary art through performances, exhibitions, workshops, educational projects and site-specific installation; in particular, with the Underneath the Arches project, the aim is to relate archaeology and contemporary art, making a point of enhancing the cultural heritage of the past in dialogue with the present, and also involving international artists.
